The first cour of the anime Sakamoto Days will air on TV Tokyo and other networks from January 11th, 2025. The second cour will air in July of the same year. Along with the broadcast date announcement, the key visual and the first main PV were also unveiled. It was also revealed that "Hashire Sakamoto" (Run Sakamoto) by Vaundy will be used as the main theme.

Sakamoto Days is a solid action story about a hitman based on the manga by Yuto Suzuki that has been serialized in Weekly Shounen Jump since 2020 and has sold over 6 million copies. The story follows once-legendary hitman Taro Sakamoto who retires after falling in love one day and who has gained weight to the point of bearing no resemblance to his former self as he fights approaching assassins with his friends to protect the peaceful daily life he lives with his beloved family.
