On March 12, CM Punk took to his Instagram story to celebrate the fifteen year anniversary of a segment with Rey Mysterio and his family. Punk even posted a photo of an old segment.

In the next story, Punk zoomed in on Dominik Mysterio and called him a "lil bitch". Mysterio responded on his own story, calling Punk a "washed only fuck".

Punk previously faced off against Dominik Mysterio at two seperate live events in December 2023.
