Supermarket giant Aldi is looking to hire 28 full-time and part-time recruits for a new store due to open in the Amersham area later this year.

Aldi Amersham is searching for people to fill the positions of 3 Deputy Store Managers, 23 Store Assistants and 2 Store Cleaners.

The UK's cheapest supermarket has stated that it is keen to offer the local community stable career opportunities, while providing access to fresh, healthy, affordable food.

From September 1, Aldi Store Assistants will earn a minimum of £13.02 per hour.

Aldi is the only supermarket to pay colleagues for their breaks and the first to match the Real Living Wage set by the Living Wage Foundation in October 2024.

The supermarket was given planning permission to build in Amersham in 2024, after an initial proposal was put forward in May 2021.

The store will be built on 44 London Road West in the town, which is the site of the old Jaguar garage.

The supermarket plans showed warehouse space and staff accommodation on the first floor above a ground-level shop floor of 1195m2.
