MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) - OpenAI is announcing something new, a new web browser with ChatGPT at its core.
ChatGPT is describing Atlas as the next generation web browser.
Atlas is said to include an "Ask ChatGPT" sidebar that lets users ask questions about web pages they've visited.
The moves comes as OpenAI looks to pull in more internet traffic and grow from an app into a larger computing platform.
It will face tough competition from Google's Chrome which has about three billion users world wide, and also incorporates chatbot technology with Gemini.
ChatGPT Atlas launched worldwide on macOS on October 21 to Free, Plus, Pro, and Go users. Atlas is also available in beta for Business, and if enabled by their plan administrator, for Enterprise and Edu users. Experiences for Windows, iOS, and Android are coming soon.
The agent mode, which acts as a personal assistant is being limited to paid plus and pro subscribers.
Search and Follow Your Favorite Venues on Spotify
Spotify is allowing users to keep tabs on where their favorite artists will be performing.
The music streaming service says it added a feature that lets users follow their favorite concert venues.
Spotify says once a user follows a venue, they will have access to scheduled concerts, general announcements, and more at the location.
The new feature will also offer a link to the venue's ticketing partner, making it easier for users to snag tickets for a show.
Spotify says the feature will include more than 20,000 venues around the world.
