A popular town centre pub in Wiltshire is under new management.

Simon Cox has taken over The Lamb Inn, on The Parade in Marlborough, after Wadworth brewery launched a search to find a new licensee.

The venue celebrated the change of management with a launch party on Friday, November 7, which featured live music and a meat draw.

Mr Cox recently met with Vyv Scott, known as "Mr Music", who ran The Lamb for over four decades with the help of his wife Jackie and daughter Laura.

The trio left the venue in February 2023 and were replaced by the most recent tenants.

Mr Cox is hoping to recreate Vyv's success during his time at the pub.

He said: "It was a pleasure to meet Vyv and his family and to hear some old tales of the pub they cherished so much.

"Hopefully you will all be able to share stories with him soon as they will pop in for a pint.

"Looking forward to meeting you all."

The Lamb's kitchen will be open from Tuesday, November 11, serving locally sourced food.

Ahead of the launch, a Wadworth spokesperson said: "The brilliant Simon is taking the reins at The Lamb and gearing up for the pub's opening this Friday evening, kicking things off with a special launch party."
