There Are Growing Calls For NFL To Move Thanksgiving Day Game

There are growing calls for the National Football League to move one Thanksgiving Day game this year.

The Dallas Cowboys are scheduled to host the New York Giants at AT&T Stadium on Thanksgiving Day, a week from Thursday. The Cowboys always play on Thanksgiving, as they were one of the few NFL teams who were willing to do it when no one else would. Dallas draws in massive television ratings, no matter how good they are, and the NFL rewards them for it. But should the Cowboys and the Giants be playing on Thanksgiving Day this year?

We're going to be seeing Cooper Rush against Tommy DeVito. Dak Prescott is out for the year and Daniel Jones has been benched by the New York Giants.

Should the NFL consider moving the Dallas Cowboys vs. New York Giants game?

"Please flex out this game," one fan wrote.

"Tom Brady would still be the best QB on the field and he's been retired for almost two years," one fan added.

"Game so bad even Aaron Rodgers is gonna spend time with his family that day," one fan added.

"Can't wait to hate watch this game," one fan added.

"I'm gonna have to bet on these games just to make it even somewhat interesting," one fan added.

Rush has been OK at times, while DeVito provided Giants fans with some excitement last year. But clearly, this is not the matchup that the NFL had in mind when scheduling this Thanksgiving Day game prior to the season.

Maybe the Cowboys and the Giants will surprise us, though.

Dallas and New York are scheduled to kick off at 4:30 p.m E.T. on Thursday, Nov. 28. Kevin Burkhardt, Tom Brady, Erin Andrews and Tom Rinaldi will be on the call for FOX.

Will you be tuning in?
