Who Is Not Returning to 'Euphoria' Season 3 and Why?

The third season of Euphoria is finally being in the works, and some of your favorite characters may not be making an appearance.

Keep reading for a complete list of actors who didn't make the cut for S3.

The HBO series, which stars Zendaya as teenage drug addict Rue Bennett, first premiered in 2019, and immediately became one of the most popular shows on TV. More than two years later, the show's second season returned to the network in January 2022 -- however the wait for season 3 has been nothing short of dramatic. Now, with the show finally (finally!!!!) filming, some cast announcements have been made regarding who's set to return.

Beloved actor Angus Cloud, who was known for his role as dealer Fez on the show, sadly passed away on July 31, 2023. The Euphoria star's sudden passing left the cast heartbroken, with many posting heartfelt tributes to the actor on social media.

"Words are not enough to describe the infinite beauty that is Angus (Conor)," Zendaya wrote in her Instagram post for her former costar."I'm so grateful I got the chance to know him in this life, to call him a brother, to see his warm kind eyes and bright smile, or hear his infectious cackle of a laugh (I'm smiling now just thinking of it)."

She continued, "I know people use this expression often when talking about folks they love...'they could light up any room they entered' but boy let me tell you, he was the best at it. I'd like to remember him that way. For all of the boundless light, love and joy he always managed to give us. I'll cherish every moment."

Euphoria's Sydney Sweeney opened about how different filming would be without the actor.

"I don't think it'll truly feel real or hit me until we're filming, and I won't see Angus on set," she explained to Glamour in December 2023. "[At least] when we are filming, all of our eyes are on each other and we're there for each other, just in a different way than we're able to when we're all in very separate places in the world."
