Here's a roundup of some the main events taking place over the coming week in South Leeds.
We start this week with Councillor Paul Wray (Labour Hunslet & Riverside) who will be holding surgeries on Saturday morning at Hunslet Community Hub & Library at 10-11am and Dewsbury Road Community Hub & Library at 11:30am-12:30pm
It's the Holbeck Christmas Market from 12-4pm at St Matthew's Community Centre on Saturday. Holbeck Together have organised the market where you will find family activities, Santa's grotto, festive café and a community market place.
Then from 12-5pm the FBI Academy Fair are raising funds for the majorette troupe at The Whistlestop pub, Town street, Beeston, LS11 8DG. There will be music, crafts, games, stalls and more.
Also on Saturday St Peter's Church in Belle Isle (LS10 3QN) are holding their Christmas Fayre from 1pm - 3pm, admission is just 20p.
There are two theatre performances on Saturday afternoon. A Town Called Christmas is Wrongsemble's latest family friendly offering. Buckle in for a rollercoaster of magic, music, and mayhem as our hero crash-lands in a crumbling town where only the long-forgotten fables, a cantankerous caretaker and a glitching robot remain! Then at 2:30pm, over at Rowland Road Social Club in Beeston, Brave Words are staging Mutton, the story of Yorkshire Witch, Mary Batemen. Involving fake identities, magic charms, poisoned pudding, a holy hen, drunk watchmen and - of course - a freshly-shaved leg of mutton. Leeds Knights entertain Romford Raiders on Saturday evening. The ice hockey match faces off at 6:30pm at Planet Ice on Elland Road.
There's more theatre in Holbeck on Saturday evening at 7pm. 'A Proper Merry Christmess' is a chaotic Christmas comedy for grown-ups - an honest festive story, featuring the authentic heartbreak and humour that the Christmas movies usually leave out. Down at Leeds Dock they are holding another Makers' Market at Fearns on the Boulevard, LS10 1PZ. Discover handmade lino prints, eco-conscious skincare, bespoke illustrations, botanical art and recycled silver jewellery - plus so much more! It's a treasure trove of fresh discoveries and one-of-a-kind pieces - perfect for a relaxed weekend browse. Sunday 11am-4pm.
Councillors on the Outer South Community Committee, which now includes Middleton Park ward, meet on Monday at 4pm at Leeds Civic Hall. The meeting will be livestreamed and available to watch afterwards on YouTube.
As it's the first week of December there are a number of residents meetings taking place, starting with Middleton Community Group which meets on Monday, 6-7pm, at the Middleton Elderly Aid Social Centre, Acre Road, LS10 4LF.
The Garnet and Oakley Tenants & Residents Association also meet on Monday at 6:30pm at the St Luke's CARES Charity shop, 246 Dewsbury Road, LS11 6JQ.
Buy, Sell, Swap is the new version of the jumble or car boot sale and you can take part in one at Manorfield Hall Community Centre, Newhall Road, LS10 3RR on Tuesday 10-11:30am. Entry is free, refreshments will be on sale, get down a buy, sell or swap new and used items.
There are a host of Police Contact Points this week. This is a chance to raise concerns or ask questions of the Leeds South Neighbourhood Policing Team in an informal setting. On Tuesday they will be at Hunslet Community Hub & Library from 10am-12pm. On Wednesday they are at Dewsbury Road Community Hub & Library, 10am-12pm and at Ingram Gardens Community Centre from 10am-12pm. Then on Thursday they will be at Beeston Community Hub & Library on Town Street, 10am-12pm.
Stronger Together is a friendly support group for parents, guardians and carers who care for children and young people with disabilities. It is a monthly space to chat and share. The next meeting is on Tuesday, 11am-1pm at BITMO's GATE, Aberfield Gate, LS10 3QH.
Leeds United entertain Chelsea in the Premiership on Wednesday evening, kicking off at 8:15pm. You can expect the usual heavy traffic and parking issues around Beeston, Holbeck and Cottingley before and after the match.

Middleton Elderly Aid host their monthly free legal advice drop -in on Friday morning fropm 9:30-11:30am at their Social Centre on Acre Road, LS10 4LF.
