Alex Ovechkin's incredible rookie season is being celebrated with a new bobblehead released by FOCO on Wednesday.
Ovechkin scored 52 goals and notched 106 points on his way to being awarded the Calder Trophy as NHL rookie of the year during the 2005-06 season. Ovi beat out fellow young star Sidney Crosby in what turned out to be their first epic head-to-head matchup during their rivalry. During those electric 81 games, Ovechkin scored twice in his NHL debut, tallied The Goal, and notched his first career hat trick.
Two other Ovechkin bobbleheads are available for preorder as well including bobbles celebrating the Capitals' captain breaking the NHL's most goalies scored on record and his legendary number 8.
