Joli Sanders established Focus on Home in October 2014 in a carport with the mission of helping families transition out of homelessness.

In the last decade, she and her team have served nearly 900 families, providing furniture and other home essentials to create a comfortable and dignified place of their own.

"The best part of this work is seeing the joy and relief on families' faces when they walk into their new home, fully furnished and ready to provide comfort and stability. Knowing we've helped create a space where families can truly thrive is incredibly rewarding," Sanders said.

This year, Sanders and her team are settling into their new 24,000-square-foot warehouse in downtown Oklahoma City, while completing a capital campaign to remodel the space into a functional and welcoming environment.

"It's an exciting year of growth for Focus on Home as we work to meet our goal of serving 1,000 families over the next five years," she said.
