Bryan softball team lights up Navasota in big win

NAVASOTA -- The Bryan softball team left it all out in the batters box and then some in its 24-13 win over Navasota on Tuesday at Lady Rattler Softball Field.

Grace Tausch and Izzy Worrell each finished with six RBI's as Tausch worked a 4-for-4 day at the plate with three doubles, five runs scored and added a pair of walks. Worrell was 5-for-5 with one run scored, a pair of doubles and a walk.

Lead-off hitting Laynie Hernandez went 4-for-5 at the plate with a double, three RBI's and five runs scored.

Addison Sanchez had two RBI's and Brianna Ybarra had another.

Navasota finished with four players grabbing multiple RBI's, led by Mckinley Mock's three.

Inside the circle, Bryan's Brenna Scott pitched 5.2 innings, giving up nine runs, with only three of them earned. She also struck out three batters, while walking five. Hernandez grabbed the last 1.1 innings, giving up four runs and a walk.

Bryan will travel to play Madisonville at 6:30 p.m. Friday.
