James Cunningham and Sebastian Alkema led the way as fourth-seeded Ramsey defeated 13th-seeded Lodi 5-2 in a North Jersey, Section 1, Group 2 playoff opener under the lights in Ramsey.

Cunningham scored two goals and Alkema contributed three assists as Ramsey improved its record to 14-5 and advanced to meet 12th-seeded Lakeland in Friday's sectional quarterfinals.

Owen Morycz, Joseph Cambareri and Boaz Shin each added a goal for Ramsey, which has won seven of its last eight games.

Adrian Stancescu and Alex Karounos each contributed an assist for Ramsey.
