Nestled in the heart of the Four Seasons Resort Orlando at Walt Disney World Resort, the annual gingerbread house display has taken holiday cheer to a new level. Executive Pastry Chef Rabii Saber and his talented team have unveiled a stunning Candyland-inspired gingerbread creation that is equal parts artistic masterpiece and sugary dreamscape.
This year's theme brings a soft pastel palette that evokes the magic of a fairytale. Shades of blush pink, buttercream, sky blue, light lilac, pistachio green, and Champagne shimmer across the surface of the house, creating a picture-perfect backdrop for holiday photos. The gingerbread house itself is adorned with intricate details: a roof made of "snow" topped with an enchanting ice cream cone border, crushed M&M "gravel," and a delightful array of pastel chocolate donuts, macarons, and more.
Standing guard in front of this confectionary wonder is a nutcracker made entirely of chocolate. His pink-and-blue regalia, accented with gold, adds an elegant touch to this playful creation. The scale of this project is impressive, with the house comprising:
800 pounds of gingerbread600 pounds of sugar400 pounds of chocolate300 pounds of fondant
Bringing Chef Saber's vision to life required over 600 hours of meticulous craftsmanship, a testament to the artistry and dedication of his pastry team.
A Feast for the Senses
Visitors to the Four Seasons can experience the gingerbread house up close in the resort's lobby, where it creates a magical centerpiece for holiday gatherings. Pair your visit with a festive treat like a peppermint mocha from the resort's café, Lickety Split, or indulge in a luxurious dinner at Ravello or Capa. For those wishing to bring a piece of the holiday spirit home, the resort offers a delectable blackberry chocolate gâteau, available for special order, with proceeds benefiting Orlando's Second Harvest Food Bank.
More Holiday Delights Await
For adults seeking a sophisticated escape, the resort's Epilogue Speakeasy hosts enchanting evenings on select nights. Meanwhile, families and retro enthusiasts will rejoice as the Four Seasons debuts a festive roller rink for overnight guests from December 21-31. Nostalgia meets modern indulgence with concession-style treats like gourmet popcorn, cotton candy, and holiday microbrews available for purchase. It's the perfect way to cap off a day of holiday fun.
