How to watch Philadelphia Phillies vs. Texas Rangers on August 9, 2025

The Philadelphia Phillies (66-49) are in Arlington for the weekend, taking on the Texas Rangers (60-57) at Globe Life Field, just beginning a 10-game road trip. After winning Friday's series opener 9-1, the Phillies will battle the Rangers again on Saturday at 7:15 pm. ET in a nationally televised game.

The game will be broadcast exclusively by FOX, so here's how to watch the Phillies and Rangers on Fox Saturday Baseball.

Jesús Luzardo (10-5, 4.32 ERA) will start for the Phillies. The left-hander, who is no doubt the most confusing starter, has a 1.35 WHIP with 147 strikeouts in 127 innings over 23 starts. Luzardo is coming off back-to-back quality starts. He picked up the win against the Baltimore Orioles last time out, allowing three runs on five hits over six innings while striking out seven.

Jacob deGrom (10-4, 2.80 ERA) will counter for the Rangers. The 37-year-old right-hander has continued on from his strong start to the season with a 0.94 WHIP and 135 strikeouts in 128 2/3 innings over 22 starts this season. The former Cy Young winner lost his last start against the Seattle Mariners after giving up five runs on four hits (three home runs) with five strikeouts and three walks.

The Phillies lead the National League East by 3.5 games entering Saturday's action. They're 6-4 in their last 10 games and have won two series in a row, despite dropping the finale to the Orioles on Wednesday.

The Rangers sit third in the American League West, trailing the Houston Astros by 5.5 games. They are just 1.5 games out of a Wild Card spot. They're 4-6 in their last 10 but are coming off a series win against the New York Yankees.
