BREAKING: David Hedges, David Williams no longer employed at Pine Creek

Two Pine Creek football staff members are no longer employed at the school as of Jan. 29.

David Hedges, Pine Creek's football coach, and assistant David Williams are no longer with the school or football team as of Jan. 29.

Korina Bierman, Pine Creek principal, shared the information on ParentSquare, an app that allows "school-to-home communication."

In the message, Bierman said, "We want to wish Mr. Hedges and Mr. Williams well as they move forward," but did not elaborate on their departure.

"PCHS is committed to always doing what is best for our students," Bierman said. "While we cannot share detailed information on personnel decisions due to our need to maintain staff privacy, we can share our next steps as a school community regarding our football program."

Hedges took over the program following the exit of longtime Eagles coach Todd Miller in 2024. In his first year with the team, Hedges helped the Eagles reach the 5A playoffs and Pine Creek finished 7-4.

Bierman said that the staff will soon begin the search for a new head coach.

"In the coming weeks, we are working to post and recruit the best possible individuals for both roles and are committed to partnering with our community to find the best fit for our students and teams," Bierman said.
