CHAPEL HILL, NC -- An exciting top-25 matchup headlines one of the early-season matchups in NCAA Men's Lacrosse, as the Michigan Wolverines head down Tobacco Road to take on the North Carolina Tar Heels on Saturday.

The Wolverines entered the 2025 season hot off, winning a second straight Big Ten Conference Championship. Yet, there are a lot of new faces to keep track of for the maize and blue, as Michigan brought in 11 freshmen and six transfers. They will join senior Ryan Cohen, who is looking to end his college career with a bang. He has scored in every game of his time with the Wolverines. He leads a team hoping to make it back to the NCAA Tournament and a little further than they went last year.

Michigan had a hot start to their 2025 campaign, beating up Marquette 14-1 in Ann Arbor last Saturday.

The Tar Heels have been one of the premier lacrosse programs for decades. They come into their first game ready to compete in the uber-competitive ACC, featuring the likes of Duke, Syracuse and Notre Dame -- currently ranked No. 1 in the nation.

North Carolina has won both meetings with Michigan, including a 20-10 drubbing in their last encounter back in February 2016.
