Hull KR owner Neil Hudgell says it would be a shame if his club didn't now go on to become serial trophy winners after establishing themselves at the top of the British game.
One of the best run clubs off the field has now become the leading side on it after a campaign that saw them sweep the boards to win the treble, only the fourth time it has ever been achieved.
Rovers' achievement may be remarkable considering the club had to wait 40 years for a first trophy success, but arrives on the back of three years of significant progress and a steady climb to the summit in the northern hemisphere.
With head coach Willie Peters in place and the likes of star player Mikey Lewis recently signing a new five-year contract, Rovers will begin next season as the team to beat. That in itself brings a new pressure.
While not wishing to add to that, the KR owner believes now his club have smashed the previous monopoly and earned their place at the head of the top table, they need to follow in the footsteps of Wigan Warriors and St Helens by creating their own dynasty.
"We are the first club outside the big four, which is really these days a big three with Bradford having fallen away, to have won the league trophy. There is a dynasty and a monopoly that has been broken," Hudgell told Hull Live.
"The challenge for us now is to do that again. We must replicate that and turn us into serial winners.
"I don't say that flippantly or without acknowledgement of how hard it is, but that must be the aim. If we don't do that it would be a bit of a shame. Winning trophies regularly has to be the goal now."
No club has ever won the treble more than once, but few will expect Rovers to go and do that. Instead it's a regularity of winning things which Hudgell wants to see, given the 40-year wait between the 1985 league success and June's Challenge Cup triumph.
The good news for Rovers is another opportunity to get their hands on a trophy will arrive early next season with February's World Club Challenge. The match will be played Friday February 20 or Saturday 21, 2026, the week before the Robins take on Leeds Rhinos in Las Vegas, with either Sewell Group Craven Park or the MKM Stadium hosting the clash.
Debate over the venue has split some fans, with a desire of some to see the game played in East Hull clear, while the opportunity to double the attendance, drive more income and allow more supporters to see the game at the MKM Stadium is also a key factor.
Asked for his preference of where the game should be played, Hudgell concluded; "I have my private thoughts on where the game should be played, I'll keep them that way for now."
