BALTIMORE, MD (WBFF) -- Starting Dec. 1st the Maryland Zoo will lower its general admission prices from $33 to $24.
This seasonal price reduction, effective through February, reflects decreased visitor and animal activity during the colder months.
"The variety of animals you'll be able to see each day depends on the weather conditions. We make every effort to give our guests an amazing experience, but the health and safety of the animals are always our top priorities," said Maryland Zoo President & CEO, Kirby Fowler.
Animals such as prairie dogs, African penguins, Amur leopards, cheetahs, lions, and otters are expected to be visible in the colder weather, while chimpanzees and giraffes can be seen in their indoor areas.
The zoo will resume normal pricing on March 1.
