Indianapolis Colts' center Ryan Kelly is set to be a free agent this offseason, and one NFL team in particular is thought to be a good landing spot for him.
Jordan Dajani of CBS Sports recently selected on free agent that each team should prioritize signing this offseason, and Kelly was that choice for the Seattle Seahawks.
"The Seahawks would be smart to upgrade on the offensive line, and Colts center Ryan Kelly could be an option," wrote Dajani.
Kelly appeared in only 10 games last season due to injuries, but when on the field, again provided stability to the Colts' offensive line.
Among all centers, he would rank 10th in ESPN's pass-block win rate metric and running back Jonathan Taylor would average 5.0 yards per rush when running either directly right or left of the center position, according to PFF's metrics.
It's not a coincidence that after Kelly's return from injured reserve in Week 16, Taylor rushed for 218 yards, 125 yards, and then 177 yards in those final weeks of the season.
With that said, a reunion between Kelly and the Colts doesn't appear to be in the cards. Over the last calendar year, extension talks never really materialized and rookie Tanor Borotlini filled in well last season at center when called upon.
