NCAA: Janti Miller shares scoring spotlight with San Beda teammates | NCAA Philippines

With five games in for San Beda University in NCAA Season 101, Janti Miller has emerged as the Red Lions' top scorer, averaging 17 points per game.

In their 79-70 win over defending champion Mapua University last Friday, Miller tallied 20 points, hitting 3-of-5 from beyond the arc and shooting 7-of-11 from the field.

However, the 22-year-old Filipino-American guard emphasized that the scoring responsibility doesn't rest on him alone.

"I mean, like this game showed, if I'm not scoring, Yuki (Andrada) is going to score. If Yuki's not going to score, Nygel (Gonzales) is going to score. We have other players on the team who can carry the scoring load. That's why this was a great team win for us," he said on Friday.

Miller also acknowledged that teams have begun scouting him after his strong performances early in the season.

"Shoutout to Coach Yuri [Escueta]. We all know that other teams might have a game plan against me, so he's just telling the team to look for different angles for me to, how do I explain it, contribute to the team, whether it's rebounding, steals, or scoring, of course. But yeah, just shoutout to my team," Miller said.

He is also the Red Lions' top rebounder with 5.4 boards per game.

Miller and the Red Lions return to action on Friday against Arellano University.
