North Ridgeville chamber celebrates local businesses

NORTH RIDGEVILLE, Ohio -- The North Ridgeville Chamber of Commerce recently hosted its annual luncheon celebrating the businesses that contribute to the growth and vitality of the community.

North Ridgeville City Schools Superintendent Roxann Ramsey-Caserio announced the 2024 award recipients.

The chamber's Pride Awards honor excellence in the categories of New Construction and Renovation. The awards recognize businesses that have completed significant projects within the past 18 months.

Ramsey-Caserio noted that the nominees are recognized not only for their construction achievements, but also because they "embody the spirit of North Ridgeville by promoting our city, giving back to the community and driving increased engagement with local businesses."

The 2024 Pride Award for New Construction was presented to Culver's.

Owner Tammy Lehar expressed her commitment to the community: "We don't just sell burgers. We care about the community."

Ramsey-Caserio praised Lehar's philosophy, emphasizing Culver's active involvement with local organizations, schools and initiatives, such as dine-to-donate events.

The 2024 Pride Award for Renovations recipient was Between the Bun.

Ramsey-Caserio commended the Rutherford Family for their vision and perseverance and for transforming a building that had stood dormant for 15 years.

The luncheon also featured the announcement of the chamber's Business of the Year Award, which recognizes businesses that promote the city, give back to the community, exemplify leadership and encourage increased traffic to local establishments.

This year's finalists were KLT Insurance, O'Neill Healthcare, Riddell and Wink Property Group.

Ramsey-Caserio shared accolades for each nominee before announcing O'Neill Healthcare as the 2024 Business of the Year.

She highlighted O'Neill Healthcare's longstanding dedication to community involvement, noting their support for local organizations, scholarships, food drives, youth sports sponsorships and extensive volunteer efforts by staff.

"With nearly 39 years of providing high-quality care, a strong inspection record and a legacy of community engagement, O'Neill Healthcare in North Ridgeville continues to be a trusted leader in senior healthcare services in Northeast Ohio," she said.

North Ridgeville Chamber of Commerce President Marjorie Snyder extended congratulations to all award recipients and nominees and celebrated their contributions.
