OZARK-The shoulder widening and resurfacing project on State Road 123 in Dale County will begin Monday, weather permitting, Alabama Department of Transportation officials said Friday.

Motorists are asked to be aware that the ALDOT project on SR-123 goes from Roy Parker Road in Ozark to SR-51 in Ariton, said ALDOT Southeast Region Public Information Officer Brantley Kirk.

"Motorists should expect lane closures and reduced speed limits," Kirk said. "ALDOT urges drivers to plan for possible delays and to be mindful of people and equipment in the work zone."

The approximately $4 million project was awarded to Wiregrass Construction Company, Inc. of Dothan, which had the lowest bid that met the project requirements. The project is expected to be completed in summer 2025.
