Rangers from the New Forest NPA visited around 70 locations in September, from Cadnam to Bolton's Bench, Hawkhill to Millyford.
Teams spoke to more than 1,250 people across nearly 150 hours to help people learn about the Forest's special fungi and why it's so important to 'look, but don't pick'.

The team visited schools and colleges at the start of the new term to offer educational talks and workshops and engaged with residents and visitors about the National Park's nature and environment as the seasons change.
Posting on X (formerly Twitter), New Forest NPA listed its September highlights, including: sharing messages around the New Forest Code and the importance of looking but not picking fungi, supporting partner organisations like the police to help make the forest's roads safer for wildlife and drivers as daylight hours get shorter, giving college and school talks at the start of a new term and helping keep the forest clean through regular patrols and litter picks.
