Congratulations to LSU women's basketball Coach Kim Mulkey and her program for having the most successful alumni reunion weekend ever. The LSU program celebrates 50 years of women's basketball history this season, and the Jan. 26 LSU vs. Texas A&M matchup was designated as the alumni game. To honor that milestone, former players and their families traveled from across the country -- from Dallas, Atlanta, Chicago, New York and Seattle -- to be in attendance.

Every team that ever played at LSU had a representative present! This massive homecoming didn't just happen because the program hit a magic number. Rather, it is a testament to the outreach of Mulkey and her staff to connect with LSU's former women's players, to recognize their many contributions and to encourage them to re-engage with their Forever LSU Family. Kudos coach Mulkey! Not only are you a great coach and champion, but you are a great ambassador for Louisiana. You remind us all that our greatest resource is family -- no matter what size, shape or uniqueness -- and when we come together, we can make great things happen.
