'One last time:' Bethlehem bar and restaurant to close after 10 years of service

A nearly decade-old bar and restaurant hopes to share one last hurrah with customers before it closes this week in Bethlehem.

Southside 313 Bar & Grille will host bar service only for its last day beginning 4 p.m. Saturday at 313 E. Third St., owners Bill and Sue Dech announced online.

"All good things must come to an end or so they say," the owners said in the announcement. "That saying could not be any more true at 313. What an amazing 10 years we have had! We are so grateful to have had the pleasure of meeting so many wonderful people and making lifelong friendships. Thank you to all our staff, customers, vendors and musicians. Every one of you have made an impact on us that we will forever cherish."

The restaurant opened in 2015 at the former Looper's Grille & Bar.

The Dechs, who couldn't immediately be reached for comment, later partnered with Bruce and Kim Campbell to open The Nest Bar & Grille in 2021 in Bethlehem and Bagpiper's Pub in 2024 in Allentown.

Neither the announcement for Southside 313's closure, nor the social media for the Nest or Bagpiper's Pub, indicated the latter two business would also close.

"We hope to see you all one last time at 313!" the Dechs said in the announcement.
