A man has been arrested on suspicion of drug driving after a serious crash.
Emergency services are at the scene of a crash between two vehicles in Creasys Drive, Crawley, which was reported shortly before 5pm today, November 28.
A section of Creasys Drive has been closed while emergency services remain at the scene.
Motorists are asked to avoid the area and use alternative routes where possible.
A 42-year-old man, from Crawley, has been arrested on suspicion of drug driving and remains in custody.
A spokeswoman for Sussex Police said: "Anyone who witnessed the collision, or has any information that could assist the investigation, is asked to contact Sussex Police by emailing [email protected], or by calling 101 quoting serial 1023 of 28/11."
West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service previously reported that the crash involved a car and a parked van.
A spokesman said: "Our Joint Fire Control received a call at 5.11pm to reports of a road traffic collision involving a car and a parked van on Creasys Drive in Broadfield, Crawley.
"Two fire engines attended and left the scene at approximately 5.50pm.
"The road remains closed and police are still in attendance."
