STEVENS POINT, Wis. (WSAW) - The Portage Co. Idea Center will be moving in the near future. The new home will be on the property of the St. Joseph's convent property in Stevens Point.

The Idea Center offers resources to people working on their creative skills and fostering entrepreneurship. After years of construction, the time has finally come to start moving from Ellis St. to Maria Dr. where 26,000 square feet of renovated church space waits for them.

"Everything in the space is going to be rentable. So different groups in the community can come and utilize the space, but we'll also be able to transform and move everything in the space to accommodate whoever," Kristin Dostal, the executive director of Create Portage County, said.

She said the new space will provide more spaces to work together for meetings and events. It also will provide more opportunities for members who want to use the 3D labs, recording studios and other resources.
