FATHER Christmas and his helpers will visit a village on the outskirts of Worcester for a special evening.

Santa Claus and his sleigh will ride through Rushwick on Friday (December 19) to raise money for charity.

A spokesperson for the event said: "Santa Claus is coming to town.

"We will be collecting money for St Richard's Hospice and Mind.

"We would love for you to come and join us and don't forget your Christmas lists to give to Santa."

Father Christmas will arrive in the village at 5.30pm and will be meeting families throughout the evening.

Justin Poolton, a volunteer who helps organise the event, said: "The event is free and people can choose to donate if they wish."
