Atomic Heart Celebrates 10 Million Players And Confirms One More DLC Is In the Works - IGN

Atomic Heart has hit 10 million players, two years after its 2023 release.

While this represents players, not sales, it is nonetheless an impressive achievement.

Playable on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox platforms, Atomic Heart developer Mundfish said it "took the world by surprise as a breakout AAA debut from an unknown studio," setting "a new bar for visual and cinematic quality in FPS games." It also earned over 60 best of the year accolades and subsequently released three story-driven DLCs, with one more "in the works."

Atomic Heart released in February 2023. It's a first-person adventure shooter set in an alternative universe "during the high noon of the Soviet Union." We thought it was great, awarding it an 8 in our review, writing: "Atomic Heart is a highly imaginative, atompunk-inspired attempt at picking up where the likes of BioShock left off that makes missteps but definitely has the ticker to punch well above its weight."

The studio is now setting up a games support service, Mundfish Powerhouse, to support developers and investors in bringing "standout projects to market."
