Two men were arrested Wednesday, Dec. 4, by College Place police officers while allegedly attempting to steal appliances from Home Depot, 1100 NE C St.
According to a College Place Police Department news release, an officer noticed two suspects loading appliances into a vehicle on the side of the building about 9 p.m.
After confirming with store management that the men were not authorized to be moving appliances, the officers arrested the two men - a 47-year-old Walla Walla man and a 30-year-old Caldwell, Idaho, man.
According to the release, officers also noticed a firearm on the floor of the vehicle. After being granted a search warrant, officers entered the car and confiscated the gun.
The men were booked into Walla Walla County jail on suspicion of theft and illegal weapon possession.
