The St. Louis Art Museum's latest exhibit is "Narrative Wisdom and African Arts," and the Black Rep is using that as a jumping off point for "Secret Gallery: African Art Adventures" a play for young audiences by Naima Carter Russell and Eugene H. The album is unapologetic, shedding light on the rapper's muddied past all backed by vintage-style production. He brings his "Take Care" tour to the Pageant along with rappers Ro$ama and Yung Hood. St. Louis pop artist Whitworth is bringing his stylish, indie sounds to the Dark Room following the release of his first album "Earth to Dreamer." Born Owen Ragland, the young musician started playing the piano at age 3 under his father's guidance. By his teenage years, Whitworth was regarded as a local child prodigy, performing in various music ensembles and even hitting the stage at LouFest in 2017. Now Whitworth is carving out his own lane as a solo artist with a cool band helping him bring his music to life. Catch some of St. Louis' favorite funny guys on stage at the Thanks 4 Da Comedy Show. Social media star Kleon the Comedian headlines the event with host Tonerio Brown setting the tone for the night. A native of Little Rock, Arkansas, Kleon has a career spanning over a decade. He's shared the stage with legendary comedians like D.L. By now, everyone knows that the film "Wicked" is hitting theaters. Based on the Broadway musical of the same name, it tells the back story of Elphaba, the Wicked Witch of the West from "The Wizard of Oz," and it includes songs that you can unabashedly sing along with at Omnimax. Though this is only Part 1 of the stage show (that's right, even with a 2 hour 40 minute run time, it's not the whole story) it will include everyone's favorite number, "Defying Gravity." Latin music artist El Alfa has been dominating the charts in the Dominican Republic. He's bringing his island vibes and dance-inducing rhythms to the Factory for what he described to Billboard as "the best (concert) on the planet." El Alfa's current tour comes after years of success. He's earned three platinum- and four gold-certified albums and has been recognized as one of the 400 most listened to artists worldwide on Spotify. More than 120 parade units will march, drive or float along Market Street downtown to celebrate Turkey Day and usher in the holidday season (mostly Christmas).
