Star Wars Battlefront 2 features many heroes spanning the three major eras of Star Wars, but the universe has expanded significantly since then. Characters like Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader are going to be obvious additions, but fans would likely appreciate it if Battlefront 3 included heroes that were missing from the previous two games, as well as newer heroes introduced in recent years. These are the heroes who absolutely must be included in Star Wars Battlefront 3.

10 Fennec Shand

Deadly With A Blaster And Martial Arts

Close

Origin: The Mandalorian

Ming-Na Wen's bounty hunter character, Fennec Shand, has become a staple of the current Star Wars era after appearing in The Mandalorian, The Book Of Boba Fett, and The Bad Batch. She can be a cold and ruthless killer, but she proves to be more honorable than most mercenaries in the Star Wars underworld, which, combined with her dry humor, makes her a favorite among fans.

Star Wars Battlefront 2 already featured bounty hunters like Bossk and Boba Fett, so Fennec Shand could fit right in and have distinct gameplay using her sniper blaster and throwing knives. Additionally, Ming-Na Wen has previously provided her voice for the character in animation, so there is a chance that she could do the same for a potential Battlefront 3.

9 Asajj Ventress

Potentially A Hero Or Villain Depending On The Era

Close

Origin: Star Wars: The Clone Wars

Asajj Ventress has evolved over the years from a cunning assassin to an endearing anti-hero wielding a yellow lightsaber, demonstrating how much characters can change in the Star Wars universe. Fans loved the character so much in both Star Wars: The Clone Wars and The Bad Batch that she became the main character in Tales of the Underworld, with Nika Futterman giving her many layers through a well-rounded performance.

In Star Wars Battlefront 3, Ventress' shifting morality woul allow her to be a hero for the Age of the Empire and a villain for the Age of the Republic, similar to Iden Versio in Battlefront 2. As a bonus, there has never been a dual-wielding lightsaber character in the reboot Battlefront games, so Ventress would allow for even more unique gameplay for a hero character.

8 Cal Kestis

Star Wars Games Should Take Advantage Of Crossovers

Close

Origin: Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order

Star Wars games have a chance to crossover, especially since the Star Wars Jedi games and the Battlefront series are both produced by Electronic Arts. This would allow Cal Kestis to join Star Wars Battlefront 3, serving as a fun promotional character for his respective franchise for those who have never played it.

The devs can even borrow signature aspects of Cal Kestis from the Star Wars Jedi games, such as swapping lightsaber stances, using BD-1's stims for quick healing, and wall-running. Cameron Monaghan, who is the face and voice of Cal, has openly expressed his desire to play the character in other projects, and Star Wars Battlefront 3 would be the ideal first step in that direction.

7 K-2SO

Stormtroopers Should Fear A Reprogrammed Droid

Close

Origin: Rogue One: A Star Wars Story

Of all the droids seen in Star Wars, the most combat-oriented would be K-2SO, as shown by Rogue One: A Star Wars Story and its prequel series, Andor, where he punches humans through the air with ease. He can also take several blaster bolts before sustaining any significant damage, which could easily be one of his best perks in terms of gameplay.

K-2SO is also proficient with a blaster, so he has the potential to utilize swapping between a melee and long-range modes depending on who or what he is facing. Droids are as much of a staple of Star Wars as the Jedi and starships are, making it a tradition that even the games have maintained, so a deadlier character like K-2SO would be ideal for a Battlefront game.

6 The Stranger

Cortosis Would Change The Battle Completely

Close

Origin: Star Wars: The Acolyte

While The Acolyte was not the success that Lucasfilm had hoped for, even its biggest critics showed respect for its lightsaber combat and the mysterious masked villain known as The Stranger. He was almost like a horror movie villain, wearing a monstrous helmet and gauntlets made from cortosis alloy that short out the Kyber crystals in lightsabers.

That cortosis, combined with his powerful use of the Dark Side, could make The Stranger into an effective mix of offense and defense, especially against other lightsaber-based characters. His red lightsaber could also split into two sabers, with one shorter blade, which could be an ability or an alternate attack.

5 Captain Rex

Fighting Through Decades Of War Made Him A Legend

Close

Origin: Star Wars: The Clone Wars

ARC Troopers were already a playable class of character in Star Wars Battlefront 2, but fans of Star Wars: The Clone Wars, The Bad Batch, and Star Wars: Rebels know that Captain Rex is not an average ARC Trooper. Rex is a beloved character who served from the beginning of the Clone Wars to the end of the Galactic Civil War, and is confirmed to have fought in the Battle of Endor as well.

Captain Rex's gameplay could use the ARC Trooper gameplay as its base template, but give him exclusive abilities that showcase him as a dedicated soldier. He also has multiple looks from different eras for developers to use as his different costumes, such as his unmasked look, his hooded look as a clone rebel, and his look as an older man during the Galactic Civil War.

4 Hera Syndulla

The Captain Of The Ghost Is The Perfect Starfighter Hero

Close

Origin: Star Wars: Rebels

Hera Syndulla is essentially the heart and soul of the Ghost crew in Star Wars: Rebels, and she remains a dedicated fighter in the Ahsoka series. Fans adore her for her kind nature, lovable personality, and altruism, which make her an exceptional leader for both the Rebellion and the New Republic.

It wouldn't be Hera's first time in a canon Star Wars video game, as she was a major part of the New Republic storyline in Star Wars: Squadrons. Also, while she would be a fine addition to ground battles, Hera's greatest strength as a hero would be in the starfighter modes, as she rivals Anakin Skywalker and Poe Dameron in terms of her pilot skills in her ship, the Ghost.

3 Mace Windu

Shatterpoint Will Turn The Jedi Master Into A Nightmare

Close

Origin: Star Wars Episode 1: The Phantom Menace

Many famous Jedi were snubbed from being on the Battlefront 2 roster, and one of the most requested was Mace Windu, as he is, in canon, a top-tier duelist who was able to beat Darth Sidious in lightsaber combat. He is also distinguished from most Jedi by his signature purple blade, which signifies his middle ground between the Light and Dark sides of the Force.

One of Mace Windu's lesser-known Force abilities is Shatterpoint, which allows him to detect the specific point on a foe or object that would destroy it when attacked. If Battlefront 3 includes Mace Windu, that ability alone would be enough to help him stand out from other Jedi on the roster, especially in the Heroes vs Villains mode.

2 Din Djarin

The Character Who Changed Star Wars Forever

Close

Origin: The Mandalorian

Not only was Din Djarin the star of The Mandalorian series, which marked the beginning of a new era in Star Wars, but he is also getting his own movie, titled The Mandalorian & Grogu. That kind of fame and popularity would be enough to earn him a spot in Star Wars Battlefront 3, but he is also a versatile character who wields many weapons during his galactic adventures.

Din Djarin has his trusty blaster, mini-missiles, jet pack, flamethrower, vibro-blades, Beskar-forged armor, and his ships, all of which would make him deadly to any infantry or hero character on the battlefield. However, since the two are inseparable, Din Djarin could have his adopted son, Din Grogu, by his side to add Force abilities to his combat.

1 Ahsoka Tano

Years Of Stories Have Made Her A Favorite

Close

Origin: Star Wars: The Clone Wars

For almost twenty years, fans have been witnessing Anakin Skywalker's young apprentice evolve from a reckless child to a wise and noble Jedi who now has her own spin-off series. Ahsoka Tano is now an iconic character from the TV side of Star Wars and has appeared in animation and live-action, and made audiences smile, laugh, and cry over her personal journey.

Ahsoka had already earned a spot in Star Wars Battlefront 2, but now Battlefront 3 has a chance to bring all versions of her to the game, either as the Clone War commander or the nomadic Jedi wielding white blades. Her dual-wielding is a famous aspect of her combat style, but she has Anakin's training, which makes her a deadly warrior. She is also an inspiring leader who can purify a corrupted Kyber crystal.
