LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -- North Las Vegas police released new details about a man they arrested for a string of shootings, including at one of the department's substations and a separate shooting involving a juvenile.
The police department released new video Tuesday afternoon showing officers and a K9 detaining him Sept. 26. The video shows Hector Andres Rodriguez, 36, being apprehended at a gas station.
Police officers had initially conducted a traffic stop near the area where shootings were reported before they found him at this gas station.
According to North Las Vegas police, Rodriguez is accused of shooting at public buildings, private residences and occupied vehicles. This includes a Sept. 17 shooting at the department's traffic division facility near Centennial Parkway and Pecos Road, as well as another shooting last month that left a juvenile injured.
At the time of those initial reports, investigators had not yet established a clear connection between the incidents, police said in a news release.
The North Las Vegas Police Department says the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department is also conducting investigations related to Rodriguez. He faces several felony charges, including discharging a firearm into an occupied structure and an occupied vehicle.
