DownDetector, an online service that tracks tech outages, began reporting outages, which appear to be impacting people globally, about 8 a.m. ET on Monday.

Just before 11 a.m. ET the online service showed thousands of people had reported problems, some who posted the interruption on social media.

This comes after Microsoft 365 outages a few months ago in September.

"#Microsoft outages to my planned productive work day," one user wrote on X. "Phone calls and handwriting may yet restore some order."

Another user wrote, "As much as I appreciate a chill work day. Microsoft, I need you guys to fix this Outlook outage fr . A girl is trying to push out all her work before this holiday."
