Old Fort's Arrowhead Gallery holding Valentine's Day classes ahead of opening of new location

On Saturday, the Arrowhead Artists and Artisans League gallery in Old Fort will celebrate the opening of its new location and the February art show.

The grand opening and art show will take place from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 15, according to a news release from the league.

Due to damage caused by Hurricane Helene, the Arrowhead Gallery moved to its new location across the street at 77 Catawba Ave. The building has been renovated to become the new home for the Arrowhead Gallery and the new base of operations for the league.

Sue Morgan, board member of the Arrowhead Artists and Artisans League, said she's looking forward to seeing everyone's faces when they see the transformation of former John's Grocery store to an art gallery and studios.

In the days leading up to this grand opening, the Arrowhead Gallery has events oriented around Valentine's Day. Register for a class at www.arrowheadart.org.
