Fiesta Hermosa kicked off Memorial Day weekend on Saturday, May 24, with live music, family-friendly activities and much more.
The event, which has been a tradition in Hermosa Beach for more than 50 years, will continue through Monday. Monday will include a Memorial Day ceremony from 1:30 to 2 p.m.
Weekend activities will include four stages of music; a carnival with rides, games, exhibits from local nonprofits, food and beverages; a "Makers Mercado" with more than 250 shopping vendors; a wine garden; and a food fair.
The "Sunset Vibes Silent Disco," using high-fidelity headphones, took place Saturday south of the Hermosa Beach Pier.
The Garden, which is 21 and over and has live music and more, will have a $10 a day cover charge this year.
For those who want to avoid traffic and closed streets to the downtown festivities, a "Bicycle Corral" will be at the beach between the 10th and 11th street entrances.
Free parking is available at the Northrop Grumman lot, 1753 33rd St., in Manhattan Beach, and there are shuttles from there to Fiesta Hermosa. Fiesta Hermosa will run from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday and Monday.
