The New York Giants came up short against the New Orleans Saints on Sunday at MetLife Stadium, having a potential game-tying field goal blocked with just seconds remaining.
The 14-11 loss dropped the Giants to 2-11 on the season and left them winless at home through 14 weeks. It was also their eighth consecutive loss.
Whose stock is up and whose is down after the Week 14 loss? Let's take a look.
Stock up: CB Tre Hawkins

The streak has been broken! After setting an all-time NFL mark for games without an interception (11), cornerback Tre Hawkins went up, high-pointed a ball, and ended the ongoing misery. But it wasn't just the pick that warrants a tip of the cap for Hawkins. Except for surrendering one third-down reception, Hawkins played well over four quarters and made his presence felt as a tackler with several big hits.
Stock down: OL Jake Kubas

It was a true "welcome to the NFL" moment for offensive lineman Jake Kubas on Sunday. The rookie saw action for the first time and his mistakes effectively cost the Giants the game. He was penalized for unnecessary roughness, taking a field goal off the board, and then got leaped on the potential game-tying field goal that was ultimately blocked.
Stock up: LB Brian Burns

With a makeshift defensive line in place, linebacker Brian Burns needed to step up on Sunday and he did exactly that. He was disruptive as a pass rusher and helped set the edge to slow Alvin Kamara. He finished the game with four tackles (two solo, two for a loss), one forced fumble, two QB hits, and 2.0 sacks. Burns has been inconsistent at times but played up to his pedigree against the Saints.
Stock down: OL John Michael Schmitz

The Giants have a problem with center John Michael Schmitz. He believes he's playing better this season than at any point during his rookie year and maybe that's true, but his development has been a slog. When the entire offensive line is in flux it becomes difficult to tell who is at fault, but JMS missed several blocks on Sunday, including an easy stunt, and that comes on the heels of several weeks in which he was bullied by opposing defensive tackles.
Stock up: Giants fans

Giants fans are fed up and they let ownership know it in Week 14. From the plane protest to the half-empty stadium to cheering the blocked field goal with seconds remaining, Giants Nation made their voices heard. Co-owners John Mara and Steve Tisch appeared reluctant to make any changes and just ride with the current regime in 2025 but after the fans got loud on Sunday, that seems less likely.
Stock down: Giants organization

The Giants have had lower points throughout their history but not many. Sunday's performance, following a pronounced downward trend throughout the season, has fans feeling worse than during the Joe Judge era. Worse than during the David Brown era. As bad as The Wilderness Years. The mere fact that those ugly eras are even being mentioned in comparison to the 2024 season says it all. The organization has become a laughingstock. One lifelong fan told Giants Wire that Sunday's blocked field goal near the end of regulation elicited absolutely no emotions whatsoever. Fans are completely numb at this point, indicating much of the emotion is gone. Anger is better than indifference. This is a dangerous spot for Mara and Tisch to be.
