Charles River Associates (CRA), a Boston-headquartered management consulting firm, has hired David Shin as a vice president in its forensic services practice.
Based in Dallas, Shin brings more than 20 years of experience in digital forensics and incident response (DFIR) and e-discovery. He has led hundreds of engagements, including high profile e-discovery matters in complex litigations and regulatory inquiries, as well as cyberattacks.
Shin joins CRA from KPMG, where he spent the last 17 years and was a partner in the forensic technology practice. Prior to that, he was a senior incident response consultant at Guidance Software and a field engineer at IBM.
Shin has a bachelor's degree in computer information systems from DeVry University.
