Stacey Solomon 'excited for next chapter' in Pickle Cottage update - Liverpool Echo

Stacey Solomon is getting into the autumn spirit as she makes changes to her family home, Pickle Cottage. The TV personality has a huge social media following and many people show interest in her property and the DIY and gardening projects she often takes on.

The Loose Women presenter and her husband Joe Swash live in their Tudor-style home Pickle Cottage, with their children. Stacey purchased the home back in March 2021, it is reported to have cost over £1m and camera crews have even followed the family and their home-life for BBC's Stacey and Joe fly-on-the-wall documentary.

Stacey and her family are looking forward to September and the colder months. On Instagram, the Sort Your Life Out presenters posted: "Please tell me I'm not the only one excited it's September tomorrow? Crisp mornings, orange leaves, cosy jumpers, hot chocolates, pumpkin season, spooky season and everything else in between. I am definitely an autumn."

She added: "Also I have something so exciting I'll show you tomorrow. A new Era for my front door display. Thank you for the memories August." The caption was accompanied by a series of family photos, including one of the family picking fruit they had grown.

Asking followers if they loved autumn, she said "Am I the only one?", before adding: "Goodbye August, Thank you for the memories." alongside an emotional face emoji. She further explained: "Never wishing it away just excited for the next chapter in the seasons."

Many special memories have been made on the premises including the couple's wedding in 2022. Stacey has shown off her crafting and DIY skills during this time as she updated fans on the renovations and redecorating happening at the house.

This includes the transformation of two of the bathrooms into a mermaid and dinosaur theme. Pickle Cottage is reported to have 2.5 acres of land.

For Joe's 40th birthday, Stacey created a "den" for her husband which she decorated with his TV show memorabilia, a pool table and a quote on the wooden beam, reading: 'We don't stop playing because we grow old, we grow old because we stop playing'. The neutral shades around the house follow into the kitchen, where the couple have a beautiful stone wall.

The former X Factor star has two dogs named Teddy and Peanut, and five ducks. Teddy is a Cocker Spaniel, and Peanut is a Dachshund. She and her family also recently welcomed four new chicks to their home.

The ITV star is mum to Zachary, 18, Leighton, 12, Rex, five, Rose, three, and Belle, two. She welcomed her first son, Zachary, when she was 17 with her childhood sweetheart Dean Cox. She had Leighton with her ex-fiancé Aaron Barnham.

Last week Stacey shared an update about her fly-on-the-wall BBC documentary, Stacey & Joe. The TV personality is currently filming for the second series after a successful first series.

The former X Factor star shared a behind-the-scenes snap of her and Joe sitting in the sofa, in front of TV cameras. She wrote: "Filming our very last bit for Stacey & Joe series two today [emotional face emoji] COMING SOON..."

The TV show itself has an Instagram page that has a following of more than 71,000 people. The programme features all the behind the scenes of the married couple and their family.
