New cask ale brewed for autumn season

A new cask ale has been brewed in Bury St Edmunds as part of a collaboration between Greene King and Derbyshire-based Thornbridge Brewery.

Named Genevieve, the 4.5% West Coast IPA will be available to order throughout September and October, including during Cask Ale Week.

It marks the first cask collaboration between the two breweries, with the recipe developed at Thornbridge Brewery in Bakewell and final brewing taking place at Greene King's site in Bury St Edmunds.

Simon Webster, co-founder of Thornbridge Brewery, said: "We're thrilled to be partnering with Greene King on Genevieve, our very first cask collaboration together.

"As brewers with a shared passion for quality and heritage, it's been fantastic to combine our expertise to create something truly special.

"Genevieve is a celebration of cask ale at its finest -- full of character, brewed for the season, and perfect for raising a pint to the start of autumn."

Alan Fulcher, technical brewer at Greene King, said: "Collaborating on a recipe that reflects the strengths of both breweries has been a fantastic experience."
