Four Prior Lake athletes signed their national letters of intent April 11 in a ceremony at the high school.
Senior Brooke Foster signed to play Division I golf at Delaware State University, while senior Taylor Scholl will run Division I cross country and track at Drake University.
Senior Lauren Busse signed to play Division II basketball at Viterbo University in Wisconsin, while senior Sam Kortes will play Division II baseball at Upper Iowa University.
Scholl was Prior Lake's Athena Award winner, which goes to the top female athlete at the school. Last fall, she competed in her school-record sixth straight state Class AA cross country meet. She ended up 25th overall to become the first Laker to earn all-state honors since 2007.
On the track, Scholl has competed at state in the 1,600 meters two straight years, finishing 10th last year and 15th as a sophomore. She was also 14th in the 800 last year and was part of the fourth-place finishing 4 x 800 relay team in 2010.
Meanwhile, Foster has been on the Lakers varsity since the ninth-grade. She's expected to be one Prior Lake's top players this spring.
Foster helped Prior Lake finish fourth in both Section 2AAA and in the South Suburban Conference last spring.
Busse is a three-year letterwinner on the basketball court. She led the Lakers in three-pointers made this season hitting 41, helping the team win 15 games and finish 12-6 in the SSC.
Busse averaged 6.5 points per game, along with 1.3 steals and 3.2 rebounds. She averaged 3.5 points her junior year.
Kortes was Prior Lake's starting second baseman last year, helping the team to a 13-11 overall record (8-9 in the SSC) and finishing third in Section 2AAA.
