Tropical Depression Lannie exited the Philippine Area of Responsibility on Saturday morning, PAGASA said.
"As of 8 a.m. ay nakalabas na ito ng (it has exited the) Philippine Area of Responsibility," PAGASA weather specialist Benison Estareja said in an interview on Super Radyo dzBB.
"Patuloy itong lalayo sa ating kalupaan (It will continue to move farther away from our landmass)," he added.
Lannie was last estimated to be located at 300 km west of Ilocos Sur, Estareja said.
It has no direct effect on the country, but there may still be rains due to its trough.
"'Yung trough nito o outer portion o buntot niya, aasahan pa ring magdudulot ng pag-ulan sa may Ilocos Region, Cordillera Region and Cagayan Valley," the PAGASA weather specialist said.
(Lannie's trough or outer portion or tail will still cause rains over Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, and Cagayan Valley.)
Meanwhile, the Southwest Monsoon or Habagat will continue to affect the remaining portions of Luzon.
"So asahan pa rin po ang makulimlim na panahon. May possible na kalat-kalat na pag-ulan ang mga thunderstorms over Metro Manila, Central Luzon, and Calabarzon," Estareja said.
(So expect overcast skies. There is a possibility of scattered rains and thunderstorms over Metro Manila, Central Luzon, and Calabarzon.)
"Ang natitirang bahagi ng bansa, partly cloudy to cloudy skies at may tsansa ng pulo-pulong pag-ulan or pagkidlat at pagkulog," he added.
(The rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with possible isolated rain showers and thunderstorms.) -- KG, GMA Integrated News
