YOUNG entrepreneurs have been named winners of a national award.
Students from Ascent Autism Specialist College in Newton-le-Willows won the Tycoon Talentino Award at the Tycoon Enterprise Competition for their business enterprise, Blooming for You.
The win was announced during the finals ceremony held at IET Savoy Place in London, where students were congratulated by Dragons' Den star Peter Jones CBE.
Julliet Doherty, Head of Adult Services, said: "I am incredibly proud of the Ascent Autism Specialist College staff and students' success at being named winners of the prestigious Peter Jones Foundation, Tycoon Enterprise Award.
"This recognition is not just a testament to the hard work and creativity of our talented staff and students but also a celebration of the resilience and entrepreneurial spirit that defines our community."

The Tycoon Enterprise Competition, run by the Peter Jones Foundation, aims to inspire and equip young people with the confidence and skills to start and grow businesses.
'Blooming for You' was crowned the winner of the prestigious Tycoon Talentino Award, celebrating the team's creativity, dedication, and entrepreneurial brilliance.
Peter Jones CBE met with students from Ascent College to learn more about their business, praising their creativity and ambition.
The award was collected by student ambassadors Dominic and Alicia.
