As multiple designers made their much-anticipated debuts, the Spring 2026 Fashion Week season was full of especially buzzy shows and bold fashion.
On the beauty front, however, things felt more subdued. Many brands opted for understated minimalist hair and makeup that didn't detract from the main offering, while a handful doubled down on a theme.
A few of the more memorable beauty moments from the season: at designer Glenn Martens's ready-to-wear show for Maison Margiela, metal mouthpieces gave the models a deeply disturbing expression; MUA Daniel Sallstrom dabbled with punk makeup at the Andreas Kronthaler for Vivienne Westwood show; and pressed-flower lips at Simone Rocha sent a sweet message.
Between the two extremes were a number of looks worth considering for the season ahead.
Here are five of the top beauty trends from the Spring 2026 runways.
Bright eyeshadow may never really fall out of fashion, but this season, translucent, pale eyeshadow was everywhere. For Alberta Ferretti, Siddhartha Simone used a diluted dusty blue, while Lynsey Alexander opted for a taupe lid with a bit of shimmer for the Tove show.
Slick hair continues to be popular, and for the spring shows, some stylists championed more angular trims. Thick, blunt bangs were seen on the runways at Schiaparelli and Roksanda, and cool-girl bobs were front and centre at Jil Sander and Christian Cowan.
This season, many artists eschewed neutral almond-shaped nails in favour of longer, more elaborate looks. Two particularly eye-catching designs: Naomi Yasuda's carnival-themed nails embellished with feathers at Luar, and the extra-pointy pierced-look nails at Grace Ling's show in New York, created by Coca Michelle.
After a few years of centre parts -- side parts being deemed too millennial -- the beauty pros have come around. Deep side parts were popular on the spring runways at Fendi, Versace and Tory Burch. It may or may not be a coincidence that all three shows were keyed by the same trend-setting stylist, Guido Palau.
Lacquered and extra-glossy lips in red, clear and black made an impact at influential shows like Tom Ford and Simone Rocha. It's an easy, impactful look to try; just keep the rest of your makeup pared back -- the lips are the main attraction.
