Destiny 2 reveals Star Wars-themed gear coming in Renegades, and Titans can fly now

Renegades is the next chapter in The Fate Saga of Destiny 2 but also an official collaboration with Lucasfilm Games to deliver a story inspired by Star Wars. Apart from characters and locations, a bunch of loot is coming our way, including weapons and Exotic armor.

On Nov. 4, Destiny 2 previewed seven weapons coming to the game in Renegades. Every weapon has its counterpart in the Star Wars universe. There's a hand cannon resembling Han Solo's DL-44 blaster, a pulse rifle designed after Boba Fett's EE-3 rifle, and even Mando's sniper rifle. There are also two Exotic weapons, including the previously revealed Praxic Blade and the Heirloom crossbow.

Apart from weapons, we also got an early look at Exotic armor and its features for all three classes. The highlight by far is Titan's Praxic Vestment chest piece, which acts like a jetpack, giving Titans a tactical air move. It's like Twilight Garrison from the original game, but better.

Weapons in Renegades have a new heat system. They draw ammo straight from the reserves and build up heat when firing, which you have to vent out to prevent the weapon from overheating. The system is very similar to Star Wars: Battlefront (2015) and Star Wars: Battlefront II.

Here are all the weapons revealed so far and their Star Wars counterparts:

There's a blaster for everyone among these weapons. While many eyes are on the Praxic Blade, there are a couple of other interesting weapons, like the Refurbished A499. It's a first Legendary heavy sniper that also seemingly retained its one-round mag from the Mandalorian series, although it's unclear how that works with the heat system.

The gameplay trailer also hinted at potential new weapon perks, including one that creates a rain of Stasis projectiles on the Modified B-7 Pistol.

As always with the new expansion, every class gets a new Exotic armor piece to alter their abilities and try out new playstyles.

Here's all the Exotic armor revealed so far:

The Hunter Exotic appears to be a PvP-focused armor piece, allowing you to enter a duel with an overshield and get an increase in weapon accuracy and stability. Fortune's Favor provides increased damage against combatants when you have an overshield, but we'll have to wait until Renegades comes out to see how good that is inside of PvE.

Titans got the most fun Exotic out of the three classes. The aerial gameplay around Arc melees could bring back the Arc Titan meta from Episode Heresy. At the same time, Praxic Vestment may also work just as well on Prismatic when paired with Knockout and Diamond Lance Apsects.

Warlocks are not falling too far behind. While casting rifts isn't the most fun thing in the game, the big question is whether Deimosuffusion improves suspend from all sources, including abilities like Shackle Grenades, Mindspun Invocation Aspect, or the Wish-Keeper Exotic bow. If that's the case, this Exotic can be a fantastic pick for endgame content, combining both damage and survivability.
