Sophie Cunningham will get the opportunity to play in the WNBA alongside Caitlin Clark.
Cunningham, the former Missouri Tiger, was part of a three-team deal Friday involving the Phoenix Mercury, Dallas Wings and Indiana Fever.
Cunningham is heading from Phoenix to Indiana, along with the Mercury's second-round draft pick.
Other parts of the trade include:
* Phoenix is receiving 2020 No. 2 overall draft pick Satou Sabally as well as Kalani Brown and Sevgi Uzun from Dallas.
* Dallas is getting Ty Harris and Kiki Herbert Harrigan from Phoenix along with NaLyssa Smith and the No. 8 overall draft pick from Indiana.
Cunningham was a second-round draft pick by Phoenix in 2019. She is averaging 7.7 points and 2.7 rebounds in her career.
In 40 games last season, she totaled 8.4 points and 3.9 rebounds per contest.
