New Roads Under Ham in Telangana: Komatireddy

The minister held a review meeting with R&B officials on Wednesday to assess proposals for HAM projects and review the ongoing construction of Telangana Institute of Medical Sciences (TIMS) hospitals.

Hyderabad:Roads and buildings minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy said that the State Cabinet meeting scheduled for Thursday will approve new road projects to be implemented across Telangana under the Hybrid Annuity Model (HAM).

The minister held a review meeting with R&B officials on Wednesday to assess proposals for HAM projects and review the ongoing construction of Telangana Institute of Medical Sciences (TIMS) hospitals. He criticised the previous BRS government for neglecting road infrastructure and said the Congress government has decided to undertake large-scale road development to improve connectivity and quality standards across the state.

Komatireddy said Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy is committed to building a modern road network and that the upcoming Cabinet meeting will take key decisions to accelerate HAM project implementation. He expressed confidence that these initiatives will bring a visible transformation in Telangana's infrastructure within the next 30 months.

He added that Telangana will soon set new benchmarks for road quality and will be recognised nationally for having some of the best roads in the country.

On the healthcare front, the minister said the government is expediting the construction of TIMS hospitals to make corporate-level healthcare accessible to all sections of society. He said the state aims to strengthen the public health system and ensure timely completion of hospital projects to deliver advanced medical services to the poor.
