GCash, operated by G-Xchange Inc., on Wednesday announced P5 discounts for commuters of the Metro Rail Transit Line 3 (MRT3) using cashless payment methods at the fast lanes starting next Monday, December 8.

In an advisory, GCash said the P5 discount will be available for users who use tap to pay, the GCash Commute QR, and the GCash Visa Card until December 22. An initial fee of P28 will be deducted upon entry, and the change will be returned to the GCash wallet after exit.

"Users don't need to register for the promo, and the discount is automatically applied upon fare deduction," the advisory read.

The MRT-3 runs from North Avenue in Quezon City to Taft Avenue in Pasay. The first trains leave North Avenue at 4:30 a.m. and Taft at 5:05 a.m., while the last depart at 10:30 p.m. and 11:09 p.m., respectively. -- AOL, GMA Integrated News
