Taoiseach Micheál Martin announced that a new ⁢national housing plan is slated for release within the next month. Martin emphasized the necessity of increased private sector investment, particularly in apartment construction, ⁣to achieve the ambitious goal of building⁤ 50,000 to 60,000 new homes annually. He acknowledged that the State alone cannot meet the housing demand.
