A man was hospitalized after a shooting Monday in Goldsboro.
Goldsboro Police responded to a ShotSpotter alert around 10:12 p.m. in the 600 block of Madison Avenue.
When officers arrived, they found 38-year-old Kevin Posey, of Goldsboro, with multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to UNC Health Wayne and later transported to ECU Medical where he is listed in serious condition.
According to the Goldsboro Police Department, officers on Tuesday arrested Zajinque Dickens, of Goldsboro, and charged him with attempted murder, carrying a concealed weapon and discharging a firearm into an occupied building.
He is being held at the Wayne County Detention Center with no bond.
